Susan Sullivan is an experienced attorney focusing on estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, and trust administration. As the founder and president of Susan Sullivan, P.A., she has been serving clients in The Villages area since 2003.
With more than 30 years of legal experience, Susan is dedicated to helping retirees and their families plan for the future with clarity and confidence. She works closely with clients to create comprehensive estate plans that protect assets, minimize complications, and ensure their wishes are honored.
Susan regularly assists clients with key retirement planning concerns, including avoiding probate where possible, planning for incapacity, preserving assets for loved ones, and simplifying the transfer of wealth to the next generation. She understands the importance of having the right documents in place—such as wills, trusts, and advance directives—to provide peace of mind during every stage of retirement.
Susan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. She began her legal career as a prosecuting attorney, where she spent seven years training attorneys in handling felony jury trials. She later transitioned into private practice, where she established and managed an estate planning office in Ocala.
She is a member of the Florida Bar, including the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and the Elder Law Section.
Raised in Key Largo, Florida, Susan developed a love for the outdoors through sailing and snorkeling. She also spent summers in Germany with extended family, which inspired her to minor in German at the University of Florida. In her free time, she enjoys fishing at the beach, playing pickleball, exploring Florida’s state parks, and traveling with her husband, Matt, and their two adult children, Gabi and Cameron.
